Honey Garlic Salmon
Description
This easy honey garlic salmon is a flavorful dinner made with tender salmon fillets coated in a sweet and savory garlic glaze. The sauce combines honey, garlic, soy sauce, and a touch of lemon for a delicious balance of flavors. It comes together quickly and makes an easy weeknight meal served with rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
Ingredients
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 3–4 minutes.
- Carefully turn the salmon and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon. Reduce the heat to medium and let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes, spooning it over the fillets.
- Transfer the skillet to a preheated 200°C (400°F) oven and bake for 5–7 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and sesame seeds, if using.
- Serve warm with rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
Notes
- For the best texture, avoid overcooking the salmon. The fillets are ready when they flake easily with a fork and the center is still moist. If using frozen salmon, thaw it completely and pat it dry before cooking so the glaze coats the fish properly.
